Barrie releases ‘Dig’ / ‘Frankie’ 7″

by | Oct 13, 2021 | Quick News

Barrie is back with a seven inch vinyl. Today, she released the second dream pop single, Frankie. These two songs show two sides of multi-instrumentalist Barrie Lindsey‘s songwriting: layers of textural instruments and programmed synths. In Dig, she performs synthesizer, piano, electric guitar, slide guitar, dulcimer, mandolin, bass guitar, and the drum kit.

This new single is purely synths, along with Ben Lumsdaine on drums (you’ve heard Ben’s engineering work on Hoops and Kevin Krauter). Joseph Lorge (Perfume Genius) mixed the songs, and Patricia Sullivan of Bernie Grundman Mastering mastered the songs. The 7″ is out through the indie label Winspear (Slow Pulp, Amy O).
