Irish band NewDad has a new single and music video called Ladybird, out through Fair Youth. The song has lofi post-rock vibes, produced by Chris Ryan, and mixed by John Congleton (he produced Sharon Van Etten’s ‘Remind Me Tomorrow‘). The song is simple, with a roomy sound, distorted amps, and a twelve string electric guitar. This is a nice jam that will continue the band’s forward momentum.

The music video was directed by Hugh Mulhern and a full team of fifteen people. In it, the band, Julie Dawson, Sean O’Dowd, Fiachra Parslow, and Áindle O’Beirn perform the song, with intermixed scenes of couples interacting and discussing their relationship. Julie sings, “It’s half-past three, and you’re not thinking of me. This isn’t how I thought it would be.”
