Adrian Prath – Vancouver Dreaming music video
Adrian Prath has a new music video for a chill Vancouver Dreaming, a German singer/songwriter who began releasing music in 2020. This smooth and dreamy single is from his forthcoming EP, and is currently only available on YouTube.
The video shows super-8 styles imagery of a road trip, recording in a room onto an old cassette recorder, and drawn animation of someone avoiding a person knocking at the door. “I’m not at home…” Adrian sings wistfully.
Adrian released two dreamy pop EPs since late October 2019, starting with Lake Ontario, and followed by a tape warped beauty in Bedroom EP. In September, he released a jangle pop single Changed, which fits well with his two EPs. Vancouver Dreaming finds him taking a different approach with layers of vocals, relaxing ‘oohs’, and reverb drenched guitar melodies. Cannot wait to hear more!
Tide Rider – Santa Barbara Heartbreak single
Surf pop artist Tide Rider released a new single, Santa Barbara Heartbreak. Tide Rider is the bedroom pop project by DeBoe Truss, from Kelowna, British Columbia, who’s first single hit Spotify’s Fresh Finds in April.
Santa Barbara Heartbreak has infectious hooks that stick in your head after hearing it once; DeBoe has an ability to find those upbeat memorable melodies. The production on this song is minimalistic and approached really well; you can hear the texture of the tape which also gives the song a really nice warmth, and acting as a glue.
