Today we have a real ethereal head bobber from the likes of New Jersey bedroom pop artist and registered nurse (…seriously) Lindsey Radice also known as PYNKIE. Unbelievable is the first blissed-out single off a collaboration EP with artist/producer Social Media (John Messina) titled Pensacola. The pair wrote and recorded the EP during the 2020 quarantine.

Unbelievable is a floating dreamscape of lush synth blips and heavenly reverb-drenched harmonies. A punchy lo-fi beat guides you through the clouds as a light arpeggiating acoustic guitar and piano peaks through. Fat synth bass is embedded ever so tastefully for depth and dynamics.

PYNKIE explained the song, “The song was inspired by a scene in the movie ‘Contact’ when Jodie Foster travels through a worm hole to a beautiful tropical island that’s a simulation of Pensacola, Florida.”

This definitely isn’t the first release from PYNKIE. Her track Dew <3 (Lo-Fi
Version)
was added to Spotify’s Undercurrents playlist. 2018 album Neoteny also garnered much attention from blogs like Gorilla Vs. Bear and Birp.FM. Tracks on the album were added to bedroom pop aficionado David Dean Burkhart’s YouTube channel as well as H&Ms Spotify playlist.

PYNKIE recently featured guest vocals on a track from lo-fi indie pop weirdos, The Memories, titled Purple. Looking forward to hearing more from her especially from this collaboration EP with Social Media.
