The prolific and brilliant songwriting Damien Jurado released a new single, ‘Niemen Marcus‘, through his Maraqopa Records. The song is from his forthcoming album ‘Sometimes You Hurt The Ones You Hate, coming out March 31. Damien is currently on tour. There is so much more to say about Damien’s music he has released over the past twenty six years, but we’ll save the details for more articles. Here’s one where we talk with his music partner Josh Gordon.

Leon in the Wild have a limited edition cassette out via Recorded Psychic Readings. You can preoder it on Bandcamp for $5. “The songs are a wave of fuzzy, indie pop with woozy melodies and occasional sardonic one-liners that push and pull the listener with hazy soundscapes that shift and turn like the tides on the sunny California beaches.” We’re certainly hooked!

Far Caspian will release a new single, ‘Arbitrary Task‘, on Wednesday (March 1). Joel Johnston wrote on Instagram, “The 2nd EP had the most electronic elements to date. But regardless, this new on is the rawest sounding yet so hopefully you’ll enjoy it.” The independent record label Tiny Library will be releasing the new album. They launched in six months ago and quickly started with Niall Summerton, an artist we love.
