At just seventeen years old, Jordan Radnoti releases music as Jordi. Her first single Escape Route that was released back in January 2021 is nothing short of indie-rock gold.
Her second single Standing in the Back on Dangerbird Records continues that momentum. Dangerbird Records discovered this young talent from Monrovia in 2020. At that time she was playing with the band Unicorns at Heart. Jordi is a multi-instrumentalist, a prodigy to say the least. She sings and plays all of the instruments and rocks.
Her first two singles were recoded with producer and engineer Ken Sluiter who has worked with such artists as Heart, Weezer, Veruca Salt, Augustines, and The Jesus Lizard. With a straight dance rock sound, it stays true to that shoegazy, noise pop-rock we all have come to love.
She tackles all of those teenage, awkward, angsty elements that teens go through. On February 20, 2023 Jordi released the anticipated The Garage EP. This has everything that you would want in an indie-rock record. On this EP she channels her inner grunge by covering Drain You and All Apologies by Nirvana. She doesn’t skip a beat at all and does an amazing take on them. She covers The Breeders Cannonball as well as The Pixies Gigantic. All with a maturity that is larger than life. I cannot wait to see what this young lady has coming for us in the future. It is sure to get you moving, your head bopping and rocking hard.
