New Music Friday (week of Nov. 12, 2021): Beach Fossils, Beach House, Day Wave, Palace, Pinegrove, Toledo, Yumi Zouma, and more!
Vern Matz’s ‘Funny Water’ has less of a folk sound, and more of a loose indie rock feel. The song is pure lo-fi grit, driving yet relaxed. Their new material is more exploratory, with bendy tones, and loose jams.
Vern matz released a new single, ‘Fish Tank’ through Nice Guys. The song is accompanied by a music video of cold winter scenes in Minnesota.
In ‘Jockeys of Love’, TOLEDO thoroughly focuses in upon an exacting musical vision; there is only positive building, climbing closer and closer towards the sublime.
There’s a lot to love on TOLEDO’s newest single, a high fidelity extension of their bedroom pop instincts, a beautiful slice of Americana, alongside a friendly hang-out mentality.
Starting 2021 right with ew music from Cathedral Bells, Molly Burch + Wild Nothing, Hovvdy, and Aero Flynn.
An hour of chill psychedelic dream pop to jam as you drive across country.
TOLEDO released a new single ‘It’s Alive!’, and an animated music video. This single is acoustic driven and continues the soft sounds heard on ‘Challenger’, though a little more downtempo.
New Vern Matz music video for Vagabond was released today. It’s a beautiful video of driving across the United States, with miles of open fields and changing scenery.
Vagabond by Vern Matz is a contemplative song to soak in during these days of quarantine. There’s a lot to enjoy about this mix, and I will gladly listen to more.
There’s something about the production on TOLEDO’s Lovely single that draws me in. The melodies and the song itself has plenty of hooks, but it’s the production that makes this a powerful song.
Puddlegum Mixtape: Tape Two is an eclectic mix of dreampop, bedroom pop, shoegaze, chillwave, and a little folk and twang.
